Weird...
The clean kitchen floor makes me feel uncomfortable.

Maybe it's some kind of nesting instinct, but my clutter makes my place mine and cleaning it up alienates me.

I LIKE having my space neat and clean! I wouldn't want to live in a dirty nest. ;)

If it's clean, I don't want to mess it up, so I have to stay out of it.

It's different though if I clean up just before I do something. (I like to start sessions in the workshop by vacuuming up.)

But it also is less lived-in. A cleaned up house is sterile. Like those ladies that do up the living room with white carpets and matching furniture, and nobody's allowed in it.
