Keeping you appraised
I learned something from the appraiser. All this time my house has been taxed as having a finished basement. But it's not. Even the drywall I've put up isn't enough to make it finished. It has to be painted and have flooring.

I doubt I can get any back taxes back, but if I'm willing to wait forever in line, I could perhaps lower my taxes in the future.

Speaking of getting taxes back, I got my federal refund yesterday, and it was payday. It's quite a nice boost to my bank balance.

I must resist the urge to throw a ton of money at the credit card, since that will be taken care of a week from now.

My slight disagreement with the Everett Clinic was settled in my favor. $82 in my pocket. I'm quite satisfied with that resolution.

Or you could finish the basement, and then use it to store the tax assessor until he decided to issue a refund...
